About the Business
The Scallywags are a travelling puppet show that is designed for youth groups, mentally and physically challenged groups, schools, community groups, etc. Our aim is to provide entertainment that will encourage young people to explore the relevant factors relating to issues that matter to them. Cleverly designed to represent youth culture, these cool dudes tackle important issues such as Bullying, Drugs and Alcohol, Relationships, Cross-Community issues etc. The Scallywags can perform a number of plays that were written and researched by Paul McNulty.
Paul has worked with youth for many, many years and has gained a good understanding, knowledge and respect of youth issues. 1. SILENT FEAR - This play deals with issues around bullying; it shows the different types of bullying and is designed to bring out the feelings of the victim am the bully. 2. BIG BOYS DON'T CRY - This play looks at the reasons why young people take drugs or alcohol, e.g.
